CANCER Care

It is important to be aware of any new, persistent or worrying symptoms. Although it's unlikely to be cancer, please speak to us if things aren't right. Finding cancer early means it's easier to treat. Please read about the signs and symptoms of cancer and further NHS advice. Please make an appointment if necessary. If you need a double appointment, easy read information, flexible appointment times or translation service please let us know.

NHS Screening programmes

Cervical screening

Cervical screening is offered to people with a cervix aged 25 to 64: every 3 years for those aged 25 to 49, and every 5 years from the ages of 50 to 64.

Breast screening

Breast screening is offered to women aged 50 to 70 to detect early signs of breast cancer. Women over 70 can self-refer.

Bowel cancer screening

Bowel screening is offered to everyone aged 50 to 74 with a home test kit every 2 years. If you're 75 or over, you can ask for a kit every 2 years by phoning the free bowel cancer screening helpline on 0800 707 6060.

Cancer Care Reviews

Being diagnosed with cancer can be upsetting for you and your loved ones. If you have received a cancer diagnosis, please book for an annual review, and for any other issues you may be facing and to see how we can support you at this time.
