The NHS Health Check is a FREE risk assessment that is aimed at adults aged between 40 and 74 years who have not already been diagnosed with any one of four common but often preventable diseases: heart disease, stroke, diabetes, and kidney disease.
The assessment normally takes 20-30 minutes and is carried out by a clinician. This will include specific measurements such as blood pressure, weight and a fasting blood test to provide a picture of your individual risk of these conditions. You will then be offered personalised advice and support to help you lower any risk that we find.
