The NHS Health Check is a FREE risk assessment aimed at adults aged between 40 and 74 years who have not already been diagnosed with: heart disease, stroke, diabetes and kidney disease. The risk assessment includes measurements such as blood pressure, weight and a blood test. Yearly, the NHS Health Check is expected to help save 650 lives and prevent 1,600 from heart attacks/stroke, 4,000 from diabetes and 20,000 people from kidney disease. Please telephone reception to make sure you are eligible. You will then be invited for a check every 5 years.
