HOSPITAL ORDERED TESTS
PLEASE NOTE: If you have been referred to a hospital, subsequent results of tests ordered by them will go to the hospital clinician and department who ordered it, not the GP Practice. Please contact the secretary of the Consultant, or department you are under if you wish to know this, or for follow-up queries. Contact details will be found on letters of correspondence.
TURNAROUND TIME
For test results ordered by General Practice, please telephone the surgery between 12.00pm-1.00pm for updates:
Reception staff can only tell you if your test is normal. However, if the Practice needs to see you non-urgently then we will advise you to book a follow-up consultation with a clinician. The practice has a strict policy regarding confidentiality and data protection. We will only release test results to the person to whom they relate, unless that person has consented to the release of their information or if they are not capable of understanding the results.
